The Hindu Religious Society were pleased to organise and host this year’s children’s Christmas party at Gandhi Hall on Sunday 22nd December 2019.
The party started with parents and children arriving from 6pm onwards.
The fun started with children and some of the mums! having their face painted by professional face painting artists. Whilst this was happening other children were colouring in and making their own fabulous and very creative badges. In the background DJ Taran Harleen was playing fabulous Christmas and festive tunes! A little later in the evening a very special guest joined us… Santa Clause arrived and the excited children and of course their parents met him in Santa’s Grotto where the children were able to tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas!! Each child received a little gift bag full of goodies from Santa.
After this the games started, children of all ages (from 1 year to 18 years) participated in musical chairs, with Ist, 2nd and runners up receiving prizes. Even the mums and dads participated in musical chairs!! The children also participated in musical statues.
Food and drinks were served to all.
Throughout the evening DJ Taran Harleen entertained all with his wonderful and joyous tunes.
All the children and their parents enjoyed the evening.
We would like to thank Radhika and Abhisheikh Jairath of Barfi Catering, DJ Taran Harleen, the professional face painting and badge making artists as well as the volunteers for making the event a huge success. A special thank you to Mr Rajeev Arora for being our games host.
We would also like to extend our special thanks to the COOP group for their support in particular the following individuals from the COOP group: Laura Hulmes and Paul Loizou for donating the sweets and toys for the goodies bags, Robert Heywood for donating towards the prizes for the games, Ben Samuels for donating the crisps and Rebecca Roberts.
